Bioparc Valencia

Bioparc is Valencia's new zoo. It is located in the west of the city, and it houses a big simple of African fauna.

Bioparc is a new generation zoo, and its main goal is to maximize the comfort of the animals and to collaborate with wildlife habitat preservation programs and with captivity endangered animal reproduction program. In this place cages have been replaced by architectural elements that mimic the natural environment of each animal. This policy breaks the visual limit between where the animals are kept and where the visitor goes through. The different areas that are represented in the zoo are African Savanna, Equatorial Africa and Madagascar. In the Madagascar area is where the maximum interaction between the animals and the visitor happens. Here the small animals, like the lemurs walk around freely, including the paths the visitor uses, as it can be seen in the picture.

The park has an underground parking, a restaurant with view to the habitat of giraffes and zebras and some rest areas with snack and drink vending machines.
